Service Overview
Installation of solid hardwood planks in your choice of species and width. Solid hardwood offers classic beauty, long-term durability, and the ability to be refinished multiple times.

The Process
Milled from a single piece of wood, solid hardwood delivers natural beauty and can be refinished multiple times over its lifetime. We install and site-finish for a smooth, custom result.
We help you choose the right wood species, plank width, and grade based on your aesthetic goals, room usage, and budget.
We verify the plywood subfloor is clean, level, dry, and structurally sound. Any issues are corrected before installation begins.
Solid hardwood is delivered to your home 5-7 days before installation to adjust to indoor temperature and humidity levels.
Each plank is blind-nailed through the tongue using a pneumatic flooring nailer, creating a tight, secure connection to the subfloor.
We sand the installed floor perfectly smooth, apply your chosen stain color, and finish with 2-3 coats of polyurethane or hardwax oil.
Solid hardwood is the top choice for homeowners who want real, through-and-through wood underfoot. Alpine Hardwood installs solid hardwood flooring with the precision and care that ensures your investment looks beautiful and performs for generations.
White Oak (Janka 1,360) - The most popular choice for modern installations. Clean grain, excellent durability, and takes both warm and cool stains beautifully.
Red Oak (Janka 1,290) - The classic American hardwood floor. Prominent grain with warm pink and red undertones. Widely available and cost-effective.
Hickory (Janka 1,820) - The hardest domestic species commonly used for flooring. Dramatic grain variation with contrasting light and dark tones.
Maple (Janka 1,450) - Light, clean, and uniform. Great for contemporary spaces.
Walnut (Janka 1,010) - Rich, dark brown with a luxurious feel. Softer than oak or hickory, best for lower-traffic areas.
Solid hardwood performs best on main levels and upper floors over plywood subfloors. It's not recommended for below-grade installations (basements) or directly over concrete due to moisture sensitivity. For those situations, we recommend engineered hardwood.
